PureChimp Matcha Green Tea Review

I normally have 2 or 3 coffees a day but have been swapping my morning coffee for a PureChimp Matcha Green Tea*(50g £9.95)

Purechimp offer 4 flavours. Regular, turmeric, mint or lemon matcha tea. I personally preferred the PureChimp Lemon Matcha Green Tea* (20g £4.95) over the regular Matcha.

The taste is not unpleasant but does takes a bit of getting used too, especially if you are having it solely with water. You can enjoy Matcha in a variety of ways however...adding half a teaspoon into smoothies, juice or make a Matcha Latte. Recipe below. Matcha can also be added into home bakes just as cookies, brownies and pancakes. The possibilities are endless really.

It's reccomemded you have 1-2 servings per day but up to 5 is fine. More than this will put you over the reccomended caffeine limit. Matcha Green Tea contains around 35mg of caffeine per serving. A serving is 1g (½ a level teaspoon).

  1. I also prefer having flavoured matcha than just the plain one. I really like the turmeric & ginger matcha from Purechimp, it's totally delicious. I make it with water, some almond milk, a little bit of coconut oil and some honey. Heaven!
