PHB Ethical Beauty Bare Skin BB Cream - Shade Fair

Image
On the lead up to my wedding I didn't want to use a heavy foundation on my skin daily for fear of breaking out so I decided to use a BB cream instead. This also meant I would be able to have something light for on my skin whilst in Rhodes on honeymoon. I looked at a few different brands but in the end decided on  PHB Ethical Beauty Bare Skin BB Cream * (£20) which has a new look and new formulation with key ingredients Aloe Vera and Rosehip Oil as well as an SPF of 15 to provide some sun protection. The BB Cream comes in a decent size 30ml glass bottle and is available in 7 shades. I have very pale skin so I choose the shade Fair as I though Porcelain may have been too light for me. After using the BB cream however I think I would of gotten away with either. Key Ingredients Rosehip Oil - Packed with essential fatty acids and Vitamin A to moisturise skin. Helps improve skin texture, lighten pigmentation and reduce acne scarring with regular and consistent use. Aloe Vera:

Love Lula October Beauty Box

This month I was a bit late in opening my box. As I was on holiday from work due to my wedding and honeymoon, I had the box sent to my house instead of work where it usually goes. Of course I missed the postie the day it was delivered (Saturday) so collected it on the Monday which just so happened to be the day I was going on Honeymoon. I was so rushed off my feet making sure I had everything in my suitcase I needed that I had completely forgotten to open my box! It was fab having it for something to look forward to on my return home again however. Anyway enough rambling let's take a look at the contents of October's box. From Dr Botanicals we have Cocoa & Coconut Superfood Reviving Hydrating Mask 30ml £9.90. containing cocoa butter and coconut oil it is said to hydrate, restore and protect the skin. This is just what my skin needs after being on holiday abroad and not drinking enough water! My skin is needing a hydration boost. Laidbare Pack Your Bags 30ml £

Rahua Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner Review

When I was deciding which shampoo and conditioner I wanted to take on honeymoon with me, Rahua was first in my mind.  Rahua Hydration Shampoo * (£8.50) and  Rahua Hydration Conditioner * (£9.10) both 60ml, are the perfect travel sizes for a week abroad. Scented with passion fruit and mango, a rich and creamy formula is created with rare Amazonian oils and natural protein bonding sugars which drive hydration deep into each strand of hair.  This helps to replenish dry, thirsty hair leaving behind stronger, smoother and shinier hair. My thoughts I have used these both abroad and at home. When I was in Rhodes my hair, as it usually does, didn't play nice. Think Monica Geller on Friends 'It's the humidity!' Nothing or no one can make my hair look good when I'm in a hot country. Unfortunately this was also true for this shampoo and conditioner duo. Thick and frizzy hair could not be tamed, which I was disappointed with but didn't expect anything less. When

Jason Family Sunscreen SPF 45 Review

I am back from my Honeymoon in Rhodes where temperatures reached 28 degrees celsius and wanted to share with you today one of the products I choose to take with me on holiday. An essential product for all holiday goers is sunscreen. I picked up Jason Family Sunscreen SPF 45 * as part of my Love Lula Blogger Picks for October. For £12.99 you get a 113g tube, which was perfect for my husband and I for one week away. So what is SPF and why do we need it? SPF or sun protection factor measures the level of protection a product will give you and how much longer it will take your skin to burn when wearing sunscreen vs not wearing sunscreen. Jason Family Sunscreen has an SPF of 45, which blocks over 97% of UVB radiation. SPF 15 blocks 93%, SPF 30 blocks 97%, where as SPF 50 blocks 98%. There are two types of ultraviolet rays emitted from the sun. UVA rays from the sun penetrate deep into the skin causing long term effects such as premature aging and skin cancer. These effects are
