Emani Vegan Cosmetics - Foundation & Lipstick Review

I am always on the lookout for new makeup to add to my collection. Foundations especially as I find it hard to find ones that suit my skintone, plus offer decent coverage at the same time. This month I decided I would try out the vegan cosmetics brand Emani.
Emani mineral-based cosmetics are free of preservatives, talc, oil, waxes, fragrances, and other chemicals that can irritate skin and cause breakouts. The products are suitable for sensitive, acne prone and aging skin (I am all three!)

Emani Hydrawear 12hr Liquid Foundation* (40ml £34) I went for the shade 'fairly light' as I have very pale skin. This is the lightest shade that Emani offer but I think I could of gotten away with a slightly darker shade. The foundation is light to medium coverage which works well to even out my skin for a natural day look. For an evening makeup look I would still like something with a bit more coverage. The foundation gives a dewy finish and with the added benefit of Hyaluronic acid and jojoba oil the skin is left feeling soft and moisturised.

I'm not sure my pictures below truly show a difference but I can assure you I noticed a difference in person. I found the foundation covered my blemishes and freckles quite well.
before - no makeup

after - light layer of foundation and lipstick duo

Emani Prismatic Duo Tone Lip Colour* (8g £22) I went for an easy to wear shade 'Celestial' which is a nude and pink. I am not a huge fan of bright colours as I find they don't suit me, so I stayed in my comfort zone with these shades! This lipstick is fab as it can be worn in 4 ways! Each colour can be worn alone, combined to create a 3rd shade or apply darker shade to bottom lip and lighter to top lip.

The lipstick itself has a very nice moisturising effect and doesn't feel drying on the lips, which is very important for me. The colour lasts well and I didn't find it transferred when eating and drinking, again an important feature.
I used flash in this photo as the separate colours were not showing up well enough without it.

As you can see from above swatches the two colours are lovely separately and have a slight sheen to them. A very wearable lipstick for everyday use. Next time I will go for a darker shade - more out of my comfort zone!
