The Cruelty Free Beauty Box - June Deluxe Unboxing

The Cruelty Beauty Box has been through some changes as of late with 5 new boxes available to choose from (see below) all of which will be double value of what is paid. Inside the eco friendly boxes you will find the products nestled in amongst shredded paper and an info card made of seed paper! Will be interesting to see what wildflowers grow once this paper is planted.

Ethical Glow -  6-10 makeup products £49.95 every 3 months
Ethical Rouge - 5-8 mens grooming products £29.95 every 3 months
Mini Beauty - 3-6 plastic free products £22.95 every 2 months
Original Beauty - 5-8 products £29.95 every 2 months
Deluxe - 7-12 products including lifestyle and snacks £39.95 every 2 months

For June I decided to go all out and try the Deluxe Edition. The box contains 7 beauty products, 1 lifestyle product and 2 snacks. Lets take a look inside...
Bumi Face Polish 'Juniperberry, Sage, Hemp & Volcanic Ash' (15ml £9)
This is the second of this product I have received this month (had another from a different box)
Presented in a glass jar this is an earthy but sweet face polish to purify and gently exfoliate skin, leaving it cleansed and soft to the touch. Can be used daily.

PHB Ethical Beauty Bio Gel Skin Brightener (£25)
Again this featured in another box this month so a duplicate for me. I've heard good things about it however so might be nice to have a back up.
Blending the best quality Aloe Vera with Neroli, Immortelle and Licorice, as well as being rich in vitamins, minerals and nutrients. This gel helps to cool and soothe the skin whilst brightening discolouration making it perfect for those who have had too much sun.

Articka Nourishing Hair Oil (10ml £4.95)
A highly concentrated oil, rich in vitamins and fatty acids to hydrate hair and provide a natural shine.
A new to me brand which I always love when it comes to beauty boxes. It comes in a rollerball glass bottle, which is perfect for on the go treatment to target flyaway hairs throughout the day.

Sknfed Expresso Body Butter Bar (60g £7.95)
This is the second product I have tried from this brand and it is just as lovely. The bar itself looks like and smells like really chocolate...but please don't eat it! This handmade bar can be used in the bath or shower to exfoilate and moisturize the skin, leaving skin soft and nourished without the need for a lotion afterwards.

Love Byrd Hippy Dippy Facial Serum (£18)
Another new to me brand. Again in a rollerball format to roll on to desired areas. Blended with sweet almond oil, vitamin E and other vitamins and minerals to smooth flawless skin. With the added uplifting scent of Frankincense and Myrrh oil.

Bain and Savon Peony Salt Scrub Foot Bar (£1.50)
This is the little heart shaped bar in the middle of the picture above....no packaging, no fuss! Use in the bath or shower to scrub the bottom of your feet. Once the exfoliator has done its job the salts will dissolve in the bath, while the organic oils and butters will seal in moisture, leaving skin soft and smooth.

Sknfed 10 Minute Mask (£14)
This is the no makeup option (makeup option is Phase Zero Lip Gloss)
This mask can be used weekly and only takes 10 minutes hence the name! The mask helps remove impurities leaving skin brighter, nourished and healthy looking.

Handmade Turkish Towel (£14.95)
The lifestyle product this month is a light weight towel which is multi use. Can be used as a beach towel, scarf, wrap, throw, picnic blanket....the list is endless. Although this is a nice towel and is fitting for this time of year...beach weather... its not something I would get a lot of use out of.

Soffle's Pitta Chips Rosemary & Thyme (£1)
Oven roasted pitta chips with rosemary, thyme and olive oil. These were certainly different from anything I've eaten before...nice but not to my liking unfortunately.

Anando's Round Ups (£3)
Basically a big wagon wheel...marshmallow sandwiched between two handmade chocolate biscuits, with a dollop of strawberry jam all rolled in Belgian chocolate. This was ok... I like wagon wheels but not overly keen on the marshmallow part of it...its too jelly like for my liking. Was a great treat but I wouldn't pay £3 for another one.

Overall I am happy with the beauty products (despite receiving two products I received in another beauty box earlier this month, this obviously won't be the case for everyone and is bound to happen now and again) The lifestyle and snacks I wasn't keen on so don't think I would be willing to get another deluxe box, but I would consider the normal beauty box or mini box.
