The first Tropic product I want to talk about is the lovely Body Smooth Refreshing Polish. I tell everyone about this product when I talk to them about Tropic because I love it! Everyone should try it! This bestselling, award winning body scrub is the founding product of Tropic Skincare. Back in 2004 when founder and CEO Susie Ma was just 15 years old, she took 50 jars of her freshly made batch of body scrub to Greenwich Market in London and sold every single one! It was that summer she realized she wasn't alone in her passion for fresh, natural skincare and spend the next few years devoting her nights and weekends (alongside studies) to formulating recipes and adding more products to the range. 



Body Smooth comes packages in a plastic jar (for safety in shower) with a wooden spoon to help scoop out the product. Containing mineral-rich organic sea salts to buff away dead skin cells and a super softening blend of golden jojoba macadamia and organic rosehip oils to deeply moisturise skin. 
One of the things I love about this body scrub is the uplifting smell. Australian lemon myrtle, bergamot and lime essential oils are used to create a lovely citrus-fresh, invigorating scent.


To use: Gently massage onto dry skin before your shower or bath, focusing on any rough or dry areas. Rinse away with warm water and massage the remaining oils into your skin. To deeply nourish your skin, follow with your favourite Tropic body oil, Body Love or Whipped Body Velvet. 

I find this scrub works well at removing dead skin cells and the oils remaining on the skin are great as a leg-shaving oil.  I was worried initially about using this scrub as I found the Beauty Pie SHS Body Polish to be too oily on the skin (recent empties post) and thought this one might be the same, but I am happy to say this one is completely different! The remaining oils absorb nicely onto the skin leaving it feeling super soft and nourished. Not only is Body Smooth a great all over body exfoliator, it is also ideal for using on hands for any keen gardeners or decorators to keep hands in tip top condition.

One thing I love about skincare products is a good face mask...who doesn't am I right?! I was very excited this month to be given a chance to test out the Aura Manuka Honey Mask from Antipodes. It is suitable for most skin types, but especially great for blemish prone skin, so perfect for my skin type...in theory.
