Emani Vegan Cosmetics - Foundation & Lipstick Review

Image
I am always on the lookout for new makeup to add to my collection. Foundations especially as I find it hard to find ones that suit my skintone, plus offer decent coverage at the same time. This month I decided I would try out the vegan cosmetics brand Emani. Emani mineral-based cosmetics are free of preservatives, talc, oil, waxes, fragrances, and other chemicals that can irritate skin and cause breakouts. The products are suitable for sensitive, acne prone and aging skin (I am all three!) Emani Hydrawear 12hr Liquid Foundation * (40ml £34) I went for the shade 'fairly light' as I have very pale skin. This is the lightest shade that Emani offer but I think I could of gotten away with a slightly darker shade. The foundation is light to medium coverage which works well to even out my skin for a natural day look. For an evening makeup look I would still like something with a bit more coverage. The foundation gives a dewy finish and with the added benefit of Hyaluronic acid and ...

PureChimp Matcha Green Tea Review

Image
I normally have 2 or 3 coffees a day but have been swapping my morning coffee for a PureChimp Matcha Green Tea *(50g £9.95) Purechimp offer 4 flavours. Regular, turmeric, mint or lemon matcha tea. I personally preferred the PureChimp Lemon Matcha Green Tea * (20g £4.95) over the regular Matcha. The taste is not unpleasant but does takes a bit of getting used too, especially if you are having it solely with water. You can enjoy Matcha in a variety of ways however...adding half a teaspoon into smoothies, juice or make a Matcha Latte. Recipe below. Matcha can also be added into home bakes just as cookies, brownies and pancakes. The possibilities are endless really. It's reccomemded you have 1-2 servings per day but up to 5 is fine. More than this will put you over the reccomended caffeine limit. Matcha Green Tea contains around 35mg of caffeine per serving. A serving is 1g (½ a level teaspoon). Benefits of Matcha Tea Over 50x the anti-oxidising...

What have I been using up?? - Project Empties #2

Image
It has been a few months since my last empties post as I have decided to start doing them when I have a decent amount rather than monthly. Some months there will be very few products to talk about so this way makes more sense to me! Bloomtown The Spring Blue Clay & Indigo Leaf Mask - loved this mask, see my review  HERE . Repurchase? Yes. Hair dyes - Nice & Easy and Schwarkopf Live ...out of these two I preferred the Live as the colour was deeper and lasted longer. Repurchase? Live yes, Nice and Easy no. Lavender Garden Bubble Bath Bar - this bar gave loads of bubbles in the bath and had a relaxing scent. Repurchase? not at the moment but will keep it in mind for future. Rituals Hand Sanitizer Mandarin & Mint - worked well but I didn't like the smell as was a strong alcohol smell, even had work colleagues mention they could smell it when I used it.  Repurchase? no. Bloom Remedies Slumber Hand and Body Wash - used this mostly as a hand wash s...

Love Lula Beauty Box May

Image
When this month's Love Lula Beauty Box* landed in the office I knew it was a good one...the box was so heavy! On first opening I had mixed feelings - good because I saw things I liked, and bad as I saw a product I already own....but that's not Love Lula's fault! This month we have 4 fulled sized products and 1 sample.  I will start with the product that put a smile on my face Madara Re:gene Lifting Mask  (60ml £35) I was eyeing this mask up on another beauty box where you pick your own products but by time I chose my box it had gone out of stock. So glad I can try this mask out. Said to restore lost volume, plump skin and smooth wrinkles. Ayumi Sandalwood & Ylang Ylang Body Scrub  (200ml £6.99) New to Love Lula, this scrub gently cleanses and exfoliates skin. The scent I found to be quite manly, possibly due to the Sandalwood, but I don't dislike it. Definately going to look at other products from this brand. Joik Pastel Pink Silky Lip Balm  (...

Latest In Beauty - My May Picks

Image
I have been getting Latest in Beauty (LIB) on and off for 5 or 6 years now, more so recently as they have multiple products I've been tempted by! Each month you can choose from a selection of full sized and sample sized products. Products are added daily so always different things to choose from. They offer 3 different options - a 3 product box for £9, a 6 product box for £15 and a 9 product box for £18. I have gone for the 6 product box. Here are my picks for this month... As you can see I have a quite a few full sizes in there which is fab value for money! I've gone for a mix of products to focus on the whole body. Murad Age Reform AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser 200ml  £38 - The hall of fame product for May so I had to grab it. I have many products from this brand and you can't go wrong with Murad in my opinion. Soaper Duper Fruity Green Tuberose Bod Scrub 250ml £9.50 - I have this scrub already but enjoy it so got another to add to my stash! why not?...

Bloomtown Botanicals 'the spring' Mask Review

Image
Bloomtown Botanicals 'the spring' Blue Clay & Indigo Leaf Soothing Mask. Facemask Friday!! Yes yes I know It's Saturday haha, but I thought I would share with you as I completely finished the jar last night, then headed out for a catch up with a friend so didn't get a chance to post about it last night. I recieved this mask last April from The Natural Beauty Box so its been in my routine on and off for a full year! I am trying to do better with only opening one or two of the same type of product at a time so that I can finish them before they expire. A little about the brand 'We founded Bloomtown in 2016 after spending two years in Indonesia and witnessing first-hand the loss of virgin forest that is home to endangered orangutans, tigers and so much of the world's biodiversity. We decided it would be our mission to create a "ticks all the boxes" body & skincare company to offer concerned consumers truly ethical & cruel...
