Ben & Anna Natural Dental Care

Image
This month I decided to get in the spirit of Plastic Free July and try out some plastic free natural dental care products from Ben & Anna. I have chosen to try the toothpaste and mouthwash from the sensitive range. I wouldn't say my teeth are hugely sensitive but I do get some sensitivity now and then with cold things like ice cream and I have one tooth in particular that is always affected. All of Ben & Anna products are all free from phthalates, parabens, microplastics, SLS and formaldehydes. Also none of the products have been tested on animals. You can see my review of their deodorants in my blog post HERE . Ben & Anna Toothpaste Sensitive * (£8.95, 100ml) comes packaged in a glass jar with outer cardboard box. Inside the box you will find a small branded spatula which you can use to apply the toothpaste to your toothbrush. The effective formulas are from 100% natural origin and contain sea-buckthorn, chamomile, activated charcoal, cinnamon an...

EarthKind Shampoo Bar

Image
This month I have been trying out a shampoo bar from the brand EarthKind .  Made in the UK, their bars are vegan friendly, sulphate-free and plastic free. Available in three variations which currently retail on Love Lula for £6.95 for a 50g bar. Each shampoo bar is designed to target all hair types. This  Tea Tree and Eucalyptus Shampoo Bar * is aimed at problematic scalp conditions. My scalp has been particularly itchy as of late, I'm putting this solely down to me wearing a baseball cap at work all the time. For those of you who are new to my blog I am a postie, so outside in all weathers. It has been fairly warm recently, and hot weather plus sweaty head equals itchy irritated scalp! EarthKind to the rescue however! Made with tea tree and eucalyptus oils, this shampoo bar has soothing and calming effects on irritated scalps. The levels of bacteria and yeast that can cause dandruff is reduced due to the antimicrobial properties of the oils. I have found t...

Love Lula Beauty Box July

Image
My Love Lula Beauty Box* arrived yesterday and as soon as I picked it up I knew it was going to be a good one...it was heavy! Not that the weight of the box really means anything but I always think it must have decent sized products inside if the box is on the weighty side! I havent had a chance to fully test the products but I couldn't wait to share with you all what was in the box, so I will give a quick rundown of the contents. Here's a look inside.... First up is The Castilian Soap Company's Natural Castile Soap with Tea Tree Essential Oil (£8.00, 250ml) A true liquid soap made from an organic castile soap base and the finest natural vegetable oils. Project Empties #5

Image
I only managed to use up 11 products in June as most of the products I am currently using are full sizes, so it will take longer than a month to finish them. But 11 is better than none! Body Care Ayumi Sandalwood & Ylang Ylang Body Scrub Like/Dislike: I liked the texture of the scrub but the scent was too masculine for my liking. Buy Again? I would buy a scrub from the same brand but in a different scent. Rituals Harmonising Foaming Shower Gel Like/Dislike: I have used this shower gel many times before. Loved the scent & the way it foams up. Buy Again? Yes Hand Wash Bloom Remedies Lavender, Lemon & Thyme Hand Wash Like/Dislike: I bought this in a set along with hand sanitiser and hand cream, it is a lovely scent and moisturises well. Buy Again? Yes, but I'd like to use up some soap bars first. Carex The Original Hand Wash Like/Dislike: My husband bought this when we ran out of liquid soap, little does he know I have man...
